The basics

ListingTalk is operated by ptem llc. We store the email addresses you verify, your public display name, a password hash, account preferences, and your posts and interactions. Your public profile does not display your email address. Contact support@listingtalk.com with privacy questions.

Public and private are separate

Published listings, their user-entered facts, comments, display names, and reactions are visible to visitors and may be indexed or copied by others. Private saved notes and email imports are visible to their account owner. Private room messages are available only to members who explicitly join through an invitation. Administrators have technical access needed to operate, secure, or investigate the service; private content is not described as end-to-end encrypted.

Email intake

We receive emails deliberately sent, CCed, or BCCed to the shared service address. We do not connect to the rest of your mailbox. For a known verified sender, the app retains supported listing URLs and an extracted possible note in a private review inbox for up to 30 days. Matching a From field routes an import; it does not authorize public posting. We do not persist raw full email payloads, attachments, or recipient lists in the application database. Quoted fragments may remain in the extracted note, so review it before sharing. Unknown senders are discarded without an automatic response. Hashed sender identifiers and provider message identifiers may remain in operational receipts for up to 90 days.

Service providers

Hosting, database, and email services process information to operate the site. The included inbound integration is designed for Postmark. Your email provider and the inbound provider can retain messages and logs under their own policies independently of the application's retention settings. Transactional email is sent through the SMTP service configured by the operator. External listing sites receive the normal information sent by your browser when you visit them.

Cookies and technical data

The site uses an essential session cookie for sign-in, security, and saved form state. It does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics in this release. Rate limits use keyed hashes of network addresses rather than a raw IP field in the application database. The hosting provider may keep its own access logs. The installable web app caches public static assets and an offline screen, not private account pages or conversations.

Retention and account controls

Email imports expire after 30 days, routine email queue records after 30 days, inbound receipts and notifications after 90 days, and audit events after 180 days when the scheduled worker is running. Private notes and room messages remain until removed through available account controls or a support request. Export your data from account settings. Account deletion removes linked email addresses and private saves, disables access, replaces your comments and room messages with removal notices, and anonymizes retained public property posts. Other participants' comments may remain. Hosting backups and legally required records may follow separate retention schedules.

Your choices

Conversation email is optional and can be disabled in account settings. Verification and recovery messages are essential account functions. Contact support to request access, correction, deletion, a photo removal, or help with private content. This service is intended for adults 18 and older.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes should be communicated on the site or through an appropriate account notice. Review this policy before publishing information you would not want public.
